Microsoft Cebit 2009 Part 1
It is done :-). We did mention that this year, we produced the presentations in the cinema of the Microsoft exhibition stand. According to official surveys there were 25% less exhibitors this year. How many visitors stayed at home this year, I can´t really say but it must be a LOT. Some of the halls were so deserted that you were actually asking yourself, if the exhibition had already started. Hall 4 was different. Especially us – the guys of the cinema crew - could not complain about too few visitors, on the contrary. During the weekend you were hardly able to move anywhere close to the cinema. For all those, who could not make it to the CeBIT this year, here is a summary of how the presentations looked this year.
This year we worked with 12 light barriers and tried a complete new navigation. The result is quite impressive even though it needed some adapting to in the beginning but I will go into details about this one in my next entry.
In addition to the actual presentation in the cinema (This year there were twelve of them), we produced an agenda for the cinema,
an agenda for the Microsoft Business presentations and a live animation of the Microsoft network within the exhibition stand. Besides an overview, we zoomed into particular machines and the live screens of the respective servers were shown. For this graphic and and also in the cinema we used VGA capture cards for the first time (12 pieces). We captured up to four different input signals on one PC.
