We are good for everything

We are very happy that our work takes part in the ongoing success of other companies ;-) Ever so often we recognize our designs in the press. Be it awards or regular print ads that come across our ways where we keep thinking – hm, something looks familiar… Anyways, I guess it´s time to start our own PR motor from now on so that finally our name gets associated with the brilliant styles and designs that you might see around you every day ;-) Await big things to happen!

Here some examples:

The Companies – from Munich received a distinction for the Rodenstock Roadshow with a pair of overdimensional glasses that served as projection surface. With this roadshow they also won the Ex Award 2009 Gold, USA. http://www.thecompanies.de/3_Referenzen+Presse/Kunden/Kunde_19_Rodenstock/kunde_rodenstock.html And guess who created the content for that???

And here is another one. Notice something???

The lower pic shows the digital model of mamemo productions´ event for the Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi. And the designs are from…??? Send the correct answer to goodforeverything@stereolize.com and win a press release for each of our upcoming jobs!

mamemo productions actually won a number of prizes in different categories for events, not that we had anything to do with that… ;-) Here they are:

DSC00481_2 runners up places for Best Corporate Product Launch (Motor World Launch),

DSC_0417_2 Outstanding Event Using a Temporary Venue / Structure (Royal Jet5th Year Anniversary),

151E9302 Best Creative Use of Lighting (Zayed Future Energy Prize),

We said it all along…

SInce we have nothing better to do than search the world for a right to exist, we sometimes stumble over something that actually does just that. Here it is again – why Power Point just doesn´t do it anymore. Excerpts from a highly interesting article from one of the most renowned magazines in the country. IN GERMAN!

Spiegel ONLINE, 17.06.09

Ansonsten: tabula rasa. (…)

And on that note… click below to find an example that really nails it!

Welcome to the Middle East:

DUBAI SYSTEM:
You have two cows. You create a website for them and advertise them in all magazines. You create a Cow City or Milk Town for them. You sell off their milk before the cows have even been milked to both legitimate and shady investors who hope to sell the non-existent milk for a 100% profit in two years time. You bring Tiger Woods to milk the cows first to attract attention.

QATAR SYSTEM:
You have two cows. They’ve been sitting there for decades and no one realizes that cows can produce milk. You see what Dubai is doing; you go crazy and start milking the heck out of the cows’ boobs in the shortest time possible. Then you realize no one wanted the milk in the first place.

OMAN SYSTEM:
You have two cows. After a huge public speech in which you declare cow milking as a landmark initiative that will diversify the economy away from oil. You first spend a year doing nothing, then you spend 1 year on planning to milk them properly and safely, another one year to get the proper ministry approvals to milk them. By the time you actually get around to milking the cows, the cows are dead.

BAHRAIN SYSTEM:
You have two cows. Some high government official steals one, milks it, sells the milk and pockets the profit. The government tells you there is just one cow and not enough milk for the people. The people riot and scream death to the government and carry Iranian flags. The Parliament, after thinking for 11 months, decides to employ ten Bahrainis to milk the cow at the same time to cut back on unemployment.

SAUDI SYSTEM:
Since milking the cow involves nipples the government decides to ban all cows in public. The only method to milk a cow is to have a cow on one side of the curtain and the guy milking the cow on the other.

[Thanks Marc]

As the days go by…

dali_persistence_of_memory2

During our last stay in Dubai we came up with another great idea, that we thought through to the last detail. Here we go…
Due to the fact that if you work long hours, there is not really a lot of free time left and if you still insist on having some time to chill out or do things, that are actually good for you such as taking a shower, eating or god forbid… do something fun, you end up all surprised when you look at your watch and discover that oooops, there are only three ours left for sleeping. Now since all three factors should have an equal standing in your every day life but the option of cutting down your working hours is not really an option, and you do not, by any means want to cut down on your free time and sleeping is not a point of discussion either because you need it – we thought of:
The 36-hour-day!!!
The 36 hour day would solve all our problems. Working 16 hours wouldn’t be a problem at all, you would still have enough time to do things for yourself and would then be able to sleep a relaxed 8-10 hours.
With the rest of the universe still living with the 24-hour system, we would of course have to consider some days being dark – for example Tuesdays… or all even dates… or so… but who cares if they get enough sleep?
Nights are overrated anyways. The 24-hour system is actually old and very unmodern since nowadays rules that applied in history such as: „at night there is no light so we can’t do anything anyways – so we just go to sleep“ or „at night we have to go inside because we have to hide from all the wild animals“ – just don’t count anymore. In case you haven’t noticed, we have electricity and light whenever we want it, globalization and time zones lead to a shift of timings in general anyways.
We think in the current times, we should not adapt to the rules of night and day as they were invented back then because there was no other choice. No - the day should actually adapt to our needs!
There is another advantage – counting with the 24-hour system you would now have three days weekend, although…. naaaaw for that I guess the old rule applies… weekends – what is that?
Anyways, if you would like to join us in shaking the pillars of the world again, let us know. We are also open to other suggestions such as the 28-hour-day or the 72-hour day. We could also invent different time groups, meaning, if you have a lot to do with Japan, why not live according to their timings (of course in the 36-, 28- or the 72 hour day, which Jens actually prefers ;-)
If you don’t like it… we will call you during OUR working hours all right!?

Nice idea.

It’s good to know that there are people on this world who deal with substantial problems and offer solutions to them as well. Thumbs up as far as I’m concerned, because who knows us will understand that we REALLY would have use for such a thing.

Though I must admit that I’m going to wait for the jeweled platinum version.
