Kaust – Inauguration Ceremony – 6 Days to go

Untitled-18

I now would like to tell you something about the dimensions of our current project. I have to admit that I haven’t yet had a project of this size. We’ve gone big, but not quite like this.
Here are some impressions of the construction site:

Here the 3 Halls again. 06

Unfortunately it is impossible to get across the size and dimensions on photos.22   11    10

Of course I am not allowed to show any pictures of the inside of the halls, but I can tell you this much: this will be the screen, and it is huge – really huge!!!!

To show you how huge it is, I put some people in front of it :-)   Just compare the sphere on this photo with the one on the picture above:  13

This much for now: Kaust – 6 days to go!

Big Big Ventuz Desktop

image

One of our last projects was realized on a real large-scale screen, which also turned out to be an excellent Ventuz workspace.

The screen was 28 meters wide. For the 5120×1024 projection we worked on a Nvidea 8800, using the two VGA outputs together with two dualheads from Matrox.

FYI Our personal record was the 70 meters wide screen for adidas. But that already dates back some time.

Another fine (and above all actual) example for a real large Ventuz projection can be found on the rayd website. http://www.rayd.de/index.php?id=20 or here:
