And this is to all of you always complaining that there are no video tutorials avaible. Please look at this tutorial first – and then you can complain that there are no video tutorials avaible.
My experience shows me that even after three years a lot of people still don’t know this one. And YES, I know it’s alittle bit old, but for those who have problems getting into Ventuz it is still good enough.
I regret but I belong to the species of Ventuz artists, who don’t know how to script. Yes they exist. I try to solve most of these things with expressions, only to hear from the Species who know how to script, that everything could be done a lot easier.(Guys your’re really helping me – and I would never think that you’re arrogant.)
Now the problem, which isn’t kind of an everyday one, occured that i need a specific syntax. Again and again I ask myself every six months how this or those syntax for an OR-AND etc. expression looks like. (At this point I want to thank Karol from Ventuz for listening to my ever-repeating questions and for answering them with patience over and over again.)
Assuming that I’m not the only one, here’s a list of different syntaxes for the expressions in Ventuz. (I found this list somewhere and it’s probably a 120 years old, but as I don’t want to check all of them again, I just post it like this. Ventuz (C#.NET) Expression Syntax
No more Windows Vista Explorer crashes
Rumor has it that there are people who run Ventuz on Vista. I don’t even know one of them. I don’t even know somebody who knows somebody. But they exist. And as expected this leads to trouble. Besides all the problems that come with Vista in any case, it seems as if it couldn’t handle the icons of various Ventuz files (*.vpr,*.vza etc.). There are already some solutions to read about in the Ventuz forum (thanks to Christian). Karol from Ventuz once again postet a reg.-file in the forum to finally solve the problem. I made a test and it worked. All the solutions before didn’t work out a 100%. So this goes out to everyone who has problems running Ventuz on Vista… have a look at this.

Since this does not seem to work for everyone here is a small Regestry-File which diables the thumbnails for the Ventuz scenes.
Just unzip and double-click the .reg file and restart your computer!
After that the explorer should not crash anymore!
